+197 In any American movie that takes place in a foreign country such as France or India, instead of speaking any of the native language, they always just have an English accent. amirite?

Well first of all, they usually don't have them speak in their native language unless they're the "bad guys", because frankly, people don't want to read during a movie. I found that out when a bunch of my friends and I went to see Inglorious Bastards. Secondly, most of the world speaks British English because they basically controlled the world some time ago, so they learn British English. So for compromise, they make the foreigners know English for the lazy of us, and their normal English sounds like their all from England to the bunch of us.
