How do ice cream sales correlate with drowning rates? How does ice cream make people drown? I don't get your logic, could you please explain?

That's the point. Correlation does not equal causation. There actually is a positive correlation between ice cream sales and drowning rates. The link is summer time. It is hotter in the summer, so more people buy more ice cream. People swim more in the summer so people also drown more in the summer. They correlate, but one does not cause the other. It was 2 in the morning when I made that comment, though, so I was just goofing off. I don't actually hate ice cream. And including the drowning thing was just me being random.
