+365 Why do they put those random blank pages at the end of books? amirite?

I thought it had to do with where they take like 32 pages and print them on one big sheet and then they fold it and the blank pages are extras.

its so you can draw on or rip out... or in the case of school textbooks, so you can sign and graffiti them

it's because with most publishing companies, they print pages in groups of 7, mostly, but some might do 8s or 6s. So if the author finished their novel on a number that wasn't devisible by the number the publishing company groups in, they have extras at the back. Or they just add many title pages to the front in different fonts/sizes/ect. Author's get creative if they don't like so many tacked onto the end.

As people above said, it's the way they print books. A blank page at the front/back of a book is called a flyleaf, by the way. :)
