+309 Anime fans: The fans who actually use words like "kawaii" in regular conversation are really really annoying, amirite?

Isn't Kauai just a Hawaiian island?

(anonymous OP): kawaii is a japanese word for "cute"

Ah, I see. I also see how that would be annoying. I don't follow anime.

I think most anime fans do it in their younger stages. They usually grow out of it though.

Yeah, I know I used to say it. Along with "baka", "dobe", and adding "chan" to the end of everyone's names. I've since realized how retarded I sounded, but me and my friends still occasionally use it jokingly in conversation

anyone who follows anime is really really annoying.

Look, I love anime. Love it. But I don't do all the kawaii shit and animu faces. That gets vexing really fast...

Meh, I didn't go through that phase. I was more of a closet anime fan, then I made the mistake of leaving my computer with my brothers. I'll never live that down.

What's even MORE annoying is when you don't saw "kawaii" and someone asks you how to say it so that they can mock you with it. XP

Oh that describes my best friend... I love her but sometimes I just wanna yell at her when she says that :P (luv ya Leah!!!)

Has anyone noticed that all the anime fans in high school were the weird kids that had to draw their weird shit on everything?? They were probably my least favorite group of freaks =/

I know this kid who always says "desu" for no apparent reason and writes it everywhere, as if people don't know it's him or something. Also, he claims he knows Japanese (and as a person who is actually learning it, I know he doesn't). I was talking to a friend of mine (who also likes anime) and we both agreed on one thing: it's people like him who make us normal-acting anime fans look bad. Aaaaaand that's my rant for the day...I didn't actually mean to make the comment that long.

Also, if they find your lyric sheets to your favorite J-pop, they look at it and start screaming "OMG! *JP word here*! That means *translation here!!!!*"
