+468 Its really annoying when you tell someone not to say "don't be gay" or "thats so gay" and they think you're gay just for being offended, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Just pointing this out, but by saying it's "really irritating" to be called gay, you're agreeing with them as you're taking it negatively. As it's so "offensive" to be called gay.. P:

She never it was offensive to be called gay. She said it was offensive that they use the word gay in the wrong way. It doesn't mean you hate gays to get annoyed when someone thinks you are for defending them.

1) I do agree with this post; I was just pointing out how it's "really annoying" haha. 2) I misread the offended part, I will admit :B

gay people get offended if you assume they're straight... right?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Gays FTW!!!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Then maybe you should just let them say whatever they want.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Not if what they want to say is unnecessary and makes other people feel uncomfortable, then no, I won't let them say whatever they want.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Sorry, but living with free speech means that sometimes people are going to get offended.

I get really annoyed with my friend because she always calla people the F word. Not F***. She always says that i'm stupid to think it's rude. Sigh...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well, it is a word, and it only has the power you give it. If you don't think it's rude, then it's not, it's just a collection of sounds

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well when you put it that way, it seems okay, but since I take it to be a rude term, as well as many others, I don't think it's something she should call people/say loudly.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You make a good point, but you should be careful when expressing your thoughts and beliefs about things like this, otherwise people might start to think your a controlling bitch. Not saying you are, but I've seen it happen

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'll keep that in mind. Did I mention my friend is 11?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

no, no you didnt lol. Now I really see your point, I'd smack her if I were you, accompanied by something along the lines of "you're to young to swear!"

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Haha. I think smacking her would not be a very good idea. Did I mention I was 11 too?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's annoying when someone assumes you have to have any personal connection with a person you're defending- I bet many of the people who agreed with this are the same little shitheads who call anyone who defends overweight people "fat".
