+202 In order to combat global warming we should just dig a few hundred, thousand mile deep holes into the earth to hold all the potential extra water, amirite?

someone would definitely fall in

That would suck! xD

Who would notice? And they can just put mesh or something to prevent people from from falling in

...then where you you put all the dirt that came out of the holes?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

In the ocean? :P Or... Dig more holes to put the dirt from the original holes in, and create a never-ending cycle of digging holes to put the dirt from the last holes into?

we would put it on a rocket which we would then send into the sun

Are they a few hundred holes that are a each a thousand miles deep? Are they a few holes which are each a hundred thousand miles deep? Or are they a hundreds of thousands of holes that are each a mile deep?

I don't understand, what would be the point of this?

global warming=>icebergs/glaciers melt=>turn into more water=>sea level rises=>floods

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah, I understand that, but by digging holes and filling it with water, you accomplish nothing, as though sea water rises you are using space to fill the holes in water. This means that you accomplish nothing, although I don't think I explained myself very well.

This isn't really combatting global warming. It's just trying to fix ONE symptom, not the actual issue.
