+150 It's funny how nothing in the wizard world in Harry Potter is like the muggle world (money, clothes, bulidings, etc..), but the food is almost completely the same. You'd think with all that magic they'd make food out of things muggles have never heard of, amirite?

That's pretty true. I guess the only exception to the case is the stuff in Honeyduke's, and Butterbeer.

Well, not really. I mean, the wizard money is really an economy like any other. It's no different than dollars versus euros. Just different means of protecting the money in banks. Clothing, well, once again that's the same idea, and even mostly the same materiels (save for what's made from magical or magically enhanced materiel, such as invisibility cloaks) It's just a matter of style no different really than the style differences between what's worn in one culture versus another. Again, buildings use the same material, just different methods of actually assembling them. In short, (sort of) magic simply enhances the way wizards interact with the world around them, rather than completely and totally altering it. They do indeed get creative with food as well (as pointed out above) but they still need to use the natural substances available to them as a base. They're humans with spectacular abilities, not gods that can just decide to add to the periodic table whenever the mood takes them.
