Wow, just don't go school. I know it's just an "eh" comment, but seriously. Everyone else gets Christmas holidays, and so should you. If this happened to me, I'd get the holiday off one way or another.

Really depends if the days you miss are worth it. Sure, when I was younger staying home from school was awesome but now if you miss school you miss out on new lessons, HW, etc...and your grades go down and blah. I missed a week of school because I was sick and that lost week really fucked me up.

Yeah, I was sick for ages and basically died in my school life of work and grades (Or levels in UK, but you're from USA) I got my Mum to go in and get some work for me to do. D:

I never stay at home when I'm sick because its usually nothing or I can just tough it out but that week was horrible...I was literally in bed for a week.

Yeah, if it's just a cold or cough, I go in and infect my friends. (Just a joke) But the week I am talking about was close enough to be swine flu.

I think my doctor said I had swine flu but she didn't try to quarantine me or something so...idk she just gave me some meds.
