It was actually a warlike tibe. When they had killed their enemies they put their insides on pine trees to scare away others. My history teacher told us last year.

Yup, this is true. The early christians commemorated the birth of their lord and savior Jesus Christ by hanging the intestines of freshly gutted enemy tribes on pine trees.
