Australians do not "toss a shrimp on the barbie". We call them "prawns". amirite?
by Anonymous13 years ago
It's stupid how they used the word "shrimp" in the visit Australia ads. We don't call them shrimp, why would you promote our culture incorrectly?! Pisses me off...

So...you throw Prawns on the barbie?
by Anonymous13 years ago
Yep! A lot of people have them at their barbecues here, I personally don't like them.

I also hate how whenever Australia is mentioned, people from other countries are like "gday mate!"... Ive never actually heard someone say g'day seriously
by Anonymous13 years ago
what. I hear that multiple times a day. :/

by Anonymous13 years ago

Did you get this from Callan McAuliffe's interview with Jimmy Kimmel?
by Anonymous13 years ago
Prawns and shrimp are not the same thing. Prawns are bigger
by Anonymous13 years ago
Exactly
by Anonymous13 years ago
Exactly!! Regardless, shrimp are never barbecued. Always prawns. Which is exactly why its still wrong.
