+319 Isn't it weird to think that if you could go back in time and kill your parents, you would have never been born to go back in time and kill them.. amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's not complicated. You can't do it. It is impossible to go back in time and alter your present because it already would have happened to create the present you know.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's impossible to go back in time period.

@871774 (Anonymous): @871774 (Anonymous): i knoooow! i said IF. i'm not saying it can really happen, hahha. geeez.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yes, but I wasn't commenting to you, but to the Anonymous who said "It is impossible to go back in time and..."

by Anonymous 13 years ago

then you're just repeating him?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No, I'm saying it's impossible to go back in time period. I'm correcting him.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

he specifically said "it is impossible to go back in time.." as well.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The "..." signifies continuance of his thought, meaning he thinks it's impossible to go back in time to do that specific thing. "I hate tomatoes that are purple." =/= "I hate tomatoes."

by Anonymous 13 years ago

and you also believe it is impossible, like you said.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Did you know there really are purple tomatoes?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

This is where different dimensions come in

Well, as time travel is theoretical, I'll have to theoretically prove you wrong. There is no way to alter the past or present. Only the future. Whatever has happened already happened. You can't change the present, for it's already here. Only the future remains to be changed. So you can't go back in time to kill anybody that's alive. You may attempt, but it's futile, for you know that you've already failed. Because if I will go back into 1990, then I've already been to 1990. And either i returned to my future present, or I failed, and there's another me wandering around.

jkdkfjsjfjjfkskshak. i know.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well then, why post something theoretically impossible?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

because maybe it's interesting to think of things that way? and it does make you think, regardless of whether it is possible or not?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Maybe because she has an imagination, and enjoys thinking of things that other people would find impossible.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

What if you went back in time and killed your parents in the year 1995, but you were born in 1990? Then their death wouldn't affect whether you were born or not.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

if you enjoy thinking about stuff like this, i suggest you read the book Rant by chuck palahniuk. It has a similar theme, and its really interesting.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's called a time paradox.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

yeaaah.. that's true! @872485 (NARNIA): yess, thank you! (:@872182 (Linds): i shall try to find that book and read it! @872293 (meysenburger): yuuuup. haa i know
