+231 Abortion isn't always right or always wrong-- it depends on the situation, you cant make a decision on whether its right or wrong when you've never experienced it. amirite?

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Hmmm... I'm borderline here. I mean, I've never "experienced" slavery, but I've come to believe it is wrong... Hm... Can you give another example, mebeh? :3 I mean, you don't have to. :P (+1 Confused ClosetDefender)

This is so true, if someone uses abortion as birth control then its wrong if its in the case of rape or incest then its that persons decision, that child may grow up in a horrible atmosphere with a resentful mother or something. People can judge those people when they're forced to make that decision themselves.

I disagree completely. Even if you are a rape victim you can put it up for adoption and help the baby and a couple out. It may be hard but it is the best thing to do. Abortion is knowingly killing a living thing, just like murder.

I agree with youl. My cousin was the product of rape and now she goes around to high schools and colleges to tell teens about abortion and inform them about sex. She has made a great impact on girls' lives, but what would have happened if her mom just aborted her because she was raped? Just because someone has been raped does NOT give you permission for murder.

yeaahhh :)

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Why would you want to carry around the product of rape inside of you for 9 months, even if you were going to give it. I would imagine the mother with sort of hate the baby, and wouldn't the kid grow up kinda messed up knowing that they're a product of rape?

by Anonymous 14 years ago

So you think people that got pregnant because they were raped should kill the baby because they hate it and they don't want it to grow up kinda messed up? Wow. Abortion is one of the most selfish things to do. And it isn't the babies fault that it's dad was a pervert so why would you take it out on the baby?

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Seriously? Killing a kid because they're an inconvenience to you life is fine, amirite? NO!

by Anonymous 14 years ago

agreeddd

by Anonymous 14 years ago

If I experienced an abortion, I'd be dead... as would anyone else who experienced an abortion...

by Anonymous 14 years ago

I agree. To all those people up there saying your killing a living being.. think about it this way. if the family is poor or the environment for a kid is not right, isn't it sometimes better for abortion than making the kid, yourself, your family, and the other parent of the kid, the other parent of the kids family suffer too? poster is right, depends on situation.

Abortion is alwasy wrong Killing a baby is just cruel, its murder it makes absolutely no difference if the baby is still in the womb! it is a human being. Would you kill a baby after it had been born, i think not but yet people think its just fine that they do it if its still in the womb, it s ould be illegal and it is never ever accpetable under any circumstance.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

I wouldn't call a few microscopic cells a "baby".

by Anonymous 14 years ago

It's not a baby; it's a fetus, and the heart starts beating just 18 days after conception so that means it's alive. Abortion is murder.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Fetuses don't have functioning brains until 16 weeks. You need a brain to understand pain and such, amirite?

by Anonymous 14 years ago

I @111738 (lifeisbeautiful): I would never ever get an abortion and I think people who do are selfish. But I consider myself Pro Choice. I don't think it should be illegal because it is really up to the person. This country was created for people to have more rights and do what they want. I am STRONGLY against abortion but I don't think it should be illegal.

PROCHOICE. My uterus, My rules.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Agreed.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

and to the anonymous above me, would adoption not make much more sense than killing a baby? sounds like it to me

by Anonymous 14 years ago

There are about 200 millilon children awaiting adoption around the world, with about 130,000 of them being in the US. If those children can't get adopted, what makes you think that these new babies will be able to? And, in the case of incest or rape, why is it fair to make a woman relive the most terrible event of her life for almost a year? I agree that using abortion as a method of birth control is wrong but if the woman had no choice in the matter then she should have the choice of how to best deal with it. And only 8 percent of women who have abortions were using no form of contraceptive when they got pregnant. Outlawing abortion does not stop women from getting them, it just makes it more difficult and less safe. Every year 78,000 women die from unsafe abortions. If abortion is outlawed due to mostly religious opinion, what is to stop the government from taking away our right to birth control, something viewed as immoral by many religions?

I'm Republican, and I'm for abortion up to 16 wks, and for rape/incest/etc. victims. Fetuses don't have brains/respond to sound until 16 weeks, therefore they can't feel pain or think or anything. And rape/etc. victims- It's bad enough that they had to endure such an awful experience. Why should they have to look at their abdomen every day and be reminded of it?

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Is wasting a fetus the same thing as wasting sperm? Neither will make a baby...
