Not nearly as cool as when one person composes all the music and then conducts an orchestra of 70-100 real players to perfectly time the score. And when a band does a movie soundtrack (like for Tron, or Trent Reznor for the Social Network), usually their music is lacking in the precise timing of emotional swells that a veteran film composer can artfully incorporate into his music.
