It's annoying when old people pronounce mature "ma-Ture" instead of "ma-CHure," amirite?

i pronounce it ma-chure as well, but ma-ture is the actual way to pronounce it.

everywhere you go it ALWAYS has 'ma-toor' listed first and then in parentheses 'also ma-choor'.
the original pronunciation is ma-toor.

well if you listen to the sound files the USA pronounces it Ma-Toor while the UK version pronounces it Ma-Choor.

im just saying that people have changed it to ma-choor, but it should be ma-toor.

In England, the proper way to pronounce it is ma-chur.

Actually, here, in England, the correct way of pronouncing it is ma-tyoor. In America, I have no clue, but since Americans say You-tube instead of you-choob, I imagine they would say ma-toor.
Switches it around a bit.
