+367 If slaughterhouses had glass walls, almost everyone would be vegetarian, amirite?

Nothing can separate me from my cheeseburgers. Nothing.

If vegetarians were serious about not eating living things, they'd stop eating fruits and vegetables.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense...

by Anonymous 14 years ago

I don't think it's about "living things," it's about sentience.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Precisely.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

"It" is ambiguous. Not wanting to eat animals may be about an animals sentience. Saying that people should see the inside of a slaughterhouse is about carnage.

I agreed even though i'm not vegetarian because i know that one day i will be vegetarian, but for now i'm still growing. and i love bacon.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

What does you still growing have to do with anything..?

by Anonymous 14 years ago

protein. and yea, you can get tons of protein from other food, but my parents refuse to accept that...

by Anonymous 14 years ago

I see. Well I've been veg. since I was 13 and I'm doing just fine :) There are tons of protein shakes and stuff plus nuts and eggs but anyway, yeah. Good luck when you do decide to try it.

If you are considering going vegetarian, go to meat.org and watch glass walls which is what this is about.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

i'm a vegetarian :] <3

Said Sir Paul McCartney. ^^ ♥

Being vegetarian or vegan is too expensive. Especially in this economy atm.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Not necessarily, you eat pretty much the same things you do now if you're just vegetarian just more of it. Vegan is a different story though, that is quite expensive.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Blehh. Oh well. But still. I couldn't be vegetarian if i tried. I eat meat everyday. lol

by Anonymous 14 years ago

I honestly wouldn't care. I didn't kill it, I just eat it. *shrugs*

by Anonymous 14 years ago

vegan for life. just sayin=)

by Anonymous 14 years ago

I've seen a steer slaughter video. It only made made me sad because I raised steers in F.F.A. Didn't affect me wanting meat at all.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

it really pisses me off when vegetarians come up to me and say "how do you feel when you eat meat, your killing and innocent animal" i'm not i just eat, it somwone else kills it. in a perfect world every one would be vegetarian, but thats not gonna happen.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

demand-supply chain. the more you eat, the more gets killed. so you are, effectively killing it. stop deluding yourself and your conscience.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

(@92978) it doesnt matter how much meat i eat, i could stop now and the same amount of animals would be killed

I worked in a slaughter house for part of my gap year and I still eat meat so did heguy who worked there. I admit that Ido look at meat differently now. Meat is no longer a guiltless thing however I still eat it.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Not really. I accept my role as part of a species that has evolved into carnivores.
