+250 why do we have to sit inside at school for 7 hours a day then come home and do 2 more hours of homework, while we could be outside be active, amirite?

Yeah i personally think they should massively reduce actual school time but have mandatory PE before or after lunch for like an hour or 2 as a break from studying. exercise releases endorphins and wakes you up. yeah you get tired earlier that night but in the immediate future it gives your brain a boost and you concentrate better in the afternoon. that way your brain is less fried so you take in way more info so even in the reduced lesson time you still learn as much, and everyone's healthier because of the exercise. and give less hwk so u can sleep properly which also means you'll be more awake and learn more. but u kno, never gonna happen :/

mandatory two hours of PE? i think i would shoot myself then and there. i think it makes much more sense to end the school day earlier. not everyone likes pe.

yeah i know that but any sort of physical activity is good for the brain, and body, so it's kinda essential...and if they put more emphasis on sports there would be a wider variety of stuff for kids to choose from, im sure everyone would find SOMETHING they find fun not just like running laps haha. like i hate PE but if we could do something like dance or swimming I'd be ok with that, and I know I'd work better for the afternoon with a break in the middle. maybe even do like sports, lunch, NAP TIME, then back to class or something :D

Except a decrease in work would ass to increase of television watching and video game playing. More than that needs to be done to get kids be active

Because shut up and eat your soup.

Because chances are you won't be outside playing, you'll be watching TV and eating chips. So you might as well be doing something productive for the two hours, instead of frying your brains out. I know it's bad, but welcome to America.
