Obvious post is obvious.

by Anonymous13 years ago
No, I know several people who say "kyoopon". It annoys me and I wanted to see how other people say it.
by Anonymous13 years ago
That's ridiculous
by Anonymous13 years ago

by Anonymous13 years ago

they must be running out of homepage material...

My pet peeve; hearing someone say "kyoopon"
I dont know why, but it sounds really annoying.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Both are correct; yes, it's a regional thing.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I don't think it's a regional thing cause where I live half the people say it coopon and the other half say q-pon.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Well, that might not be an absolute of course; where people come from affects how their family speaks, which is the biggest influence in how we speak. It just seems, even just to look at these comments, that certain pronunciations are more common to certain areas.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I say both, but koopon seems to make more sense. I don't know, I'm in North Carolina, and koopon seems to be said more. Southern thing?
by Anonymous13 years ago
I say koopon too and I'm from TN so maybe it is southern
by Anonymous13 years ago
It probably is a southern thing. Hi next-door-state buddy!
by Anonymous13 years ago
I forget that yall border us because I live on the very west end.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I live in North Carolina too and most people I hear say it like Q-pon, including me.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Oh... Well we know different people then!
by Anonymous13 years ago
OMG I DONT KNOW ANYMORE
by Anonymous13 years ago
Qpon.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Koopon? Kyoopon? I say it Cowpone.
I'm kidding.
by Anonymous13 years ago
As a Vermonter, I beg to differ. Q-pon is the way to go.
by Anonymous13 years ago
i 4got how i say it...
by Anonymous13 years ago
I say 'qpon' and I'm from Texas. The only place where I've heard anyone say 'coopon' is the automated voice on a self check out register :/
by Anonymous13 years ago
When I saw kyoopon I thought of Andy Milonakis.
by Anonymous13 years ago
i got so confused.
but people in chicago say it like q pon.
im not sure about anywhere else.
by Anonymous13 years ago
No no no, in Chicago we say koopon.
by Anonymous13 years ago
no no no in chicago we say q pon
by Anonymous13 years ago
For some reason, the "koop" sound bothers me, so I just say kyoopon.
by Anonymous13 years ago
How about Ron White's version: koo-pin?
by Anonymous13 years ago
Why does it matter? Everyone has different accents.
by Anonymous13 years ago
As Shawn Spencer would say it... "I've heard it both ways"
