+364 Disney is intent on portraying high school to be full of cliques (Populars, Nerds, Scene/Emo, Loners, etc etc.). In your school, there actually aren't such obvious divisions, amirite?

Yes and no. There were not distinct cliques like a nerds, popular kids, jocks, etc. But everyone did have a specific group of friends they hung out with, and everyone in the group was sort of similar to each other.

Ehh... A bit of both. In my school, there's a group for the "scary" mexicans (which is a group of boys), the girl Mexican group, the bad popular group, the goody good popular group, the Indian group, the "losers/nerds", and then, whoever sits alone is a loner... Then the rest are just average people.

There is kind of a nerd group, popular group, emo group, and weird group here. The nerd group is made out of boys who's only conversation to me is how many pokemon I have in my pokedex, a boy who's spent 5 months playing with a yoyo, and a guy that talks to another guy (both conservative) about today's political views and actions backed up by hours of personal research. The popular group is pretty self-explanatory... The emo group is filled with people who wear short-sleeved shirts showing their cuts, black hair, piercings and have one side of their hair covering an eye. The weird group is what I'm in and we're known for screaming loudly in the courtyard and commenting on anyone who passes by on strange things. We do have a few people in it that come to school high.

Those Disney channel cliques always made me laugh because no one liked the popular kids. In reality, the "popular" kids are usually are usually well-liked because-well...how else would they become popular?

Its always bugged me how Disney shows often make it out as a bad thing to be popular. It's okay to be well liked, as long as your not a jerk about it. Being popular does not automatically make you stupid or a jerk.

mines pretty much split up between the majority (the people who will talk to and be polite to anyone) and the minority (the rich kids that are super nice to other rich kids only, and are pretty exclusive in who they show basic civility to)

There are people who are considered nerds, scene, popular, etc. but there aren't really cliques.
