-149 It's called winter break, not Christmas break. You don't call summer break 4 of July break. Be more general; Christmas is just one day out of the 2 or 3 weeks you get off, amirite?

Who cares? Like really. I'll call it Christmas break if I want to, because the whole break generally revolves around a Christmas-y feeling for me. Are you seriously THAT sensitive that you can't allow people to call it Christmas break if they want?

People call it Christmas break because the reason you're off school is because of Christmas... As far as I know, anyway. Then summer break is called summer break because summer is the reason for it. But either way, it's all just days off, people can call them whatever they want.

Last I knew, Christmas/Holiday break was from right before Christmas (hence the name) until right after New Years, and winter break is a week or long weekend off in February (around President's Day). Maybe that's just where I live, though...?

It's called Ski Week where I live, but we don't even get that in high school, just middle school.
