+243 It would be awesome if everyone from Beatles songs, like Desmond, Molly, Maxwell, Lucy and such, were real people, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Maxwell was a murderer O.o

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Crap i forgot to reply... That's early mornings for you

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yes, yes he was. But still, it would be an interesting story.... Not that I support murderers or anything

The collectors in "Taxman" were real people, and fun fact! Eleanor Rigby's name came from actress Eleanor Bron and a store in England called Rigby's, and "Polythene Pam" is based on a cavern dweller named Patricia who supposedly ate polyethylene and Stephanie, girlfriend of one of John's good friends, Royston Ellis. They had a three way while Stephanie was wearing an outfit made of polyethylene (again, supposedly).

that is soo legend =) hahaha cavern dweller? That's pretty dodgy o.O

by Anonymous 13 years ago

hahahaha Yeah, I know. But it's still funny! :P Although, considering John and the 60's, the latter legend is still pretty plausible. :P

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Hahaha for sure :D

And Eleanor Rigby was also a name on a grave thing in Liverpool

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Really??? I read that Paul got Eleanor from actress Eleanor Bron (she was Ahme in Help!) and Rigby from a shop called Rigby's in Liverpool. Also! Father Mackenzie, he was going to make it Father McCartney, but he thought that would freak his dad out, so he picked a name from the phonebook.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

He did get Rigby from the store, and Eleanor from Eleanor Bron...but there is a grave that says Eleanor Rigby, and he said he might've subconsciously remembered that name or something. What a coincidink!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Ooooooohhhhhhh. COOL!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Don't forget Michelle!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I don't understand why it would be awesome.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'd feel bad for Eleanor Rigby + Father McKenzie...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah, I wouldn't feel too thrilled about Maxwell being real...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Damn Mr Mustard would ruin it though

by Anonymous 13 years ago

lol when i saw desmond and lucy i immediately thought of assassins creed

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Dear Prudence was about a girl that was in the Beatles group during their stay in India. She would meditate in her room almost all day and never come out. And side note about Maxwell's Silver Hammer- does anyone else notice Paul's little laugh when he sings "writing 50 times..."? I think it's adorable.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I always thought I heard that! I thought I might've been going crazy because I didn't notice it until like a year or two ago.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Haha! Yes, it's there! I looove that little laugh :) There is a rumor that John mooned Paul when he was singing, but nobody's for sure on it, haha.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Lucy is based off of a girl John's son knew. Or maybe it was Paul's son...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

ah! i was going through, and im like YES! no one said Lucy WAS real.... ha! then i saw this, damn it...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Julian made a painting, of Lucy Vodden. Then he brought it home and he said "Daddy! I made a painting," or something, and he said "It's Lucy, in the sky with diamonds." Then John was like, BRILLIANT! R.I.P Lucy

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Or Lear, from Paperback Writer...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

John's son Julian had a crush on a girl named Lucy in his nursery school class and drew her in the sky with diamonds. That's where that came from :)

I wanna meet the guy from Come Together. I heard he's got Juju eyeball!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I don't know if this was mentioned, but for the most part, when Paul wrote a song about a character, it was fictional, but when John did it, the were real people. Other than "Hey Jude" which was by Paul for John's son, who was having a tough time with his parents' divorce. Also, "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" was I think written by John about a painting his son made.
