I don't understand why...there's nothing wrong with being Irish, but why is it considered such a great thing?

I could be forgetting something, but have the Irish really done anything noteworthy throughout history? I'm not bashing on them, I'm Irish, myself. It just puzzles me why people act like being Irish makes them tough or something.

The Irish are know for their fiesty-ness, so I think that's why people act like it makes them tough. They're also know for being hard-workers and not taking shit from people, so there's that.
