Small schools are better than big schools. amirite?
by Anonymous14 years ago
Not I you're talking about broke ass tiny rural schools. They suck. Believe me, I know. >.<

No, not one of those. I mean just a school that has a small number of kids. I mean, my graduating class is 7 boys. And that's not even a record.

7 guys?!
there's like 750 kids in my 7-12th public school. i thought we were small. dang.

i have 700 in my graduating class :)

That's how many kids there are in my entire highschool. o.o

my school is so small. not even seniors yet. the freshman class is only 90 people(i'm a freshman) and the sophmores and juniors less, because everyone left because my school sucks.

120 kids in my whole high school.
It's good in some ways, but since we have so little money we now have to pay to do sports, BPA, etc., and I've heard they are cutting out the art program next year. :/ Plus, if your interests are anything but building stufff in a shop, then have fun trying to find an elective.

What if you're smart and need to be challenged in advanced classes? Small schools just can't offer the opportunities that larger schools can. There's 500 people in my graduating class and we have a Calculus 3 class at my high school, I can't imagine going to a school that can't offer challenging classes for me.

My school has about 35-50 students per grade..fairly small. My classes consist of maybe 12 students? Its small, but it offers every challenging class, even more than the other larger schools close by. We have many AP clases, Calculus AB and BC, etc.

Well, seeing as how I'm the only one in my math class, I think that's actually better and just as challenging because the class is formed around my needs and abilities. We also take placement tests (I'm in middle school) and we can take high school classes, and, therefore, any level that we need.
And for high school, it offers college classes. There was actually someone who finished his first year of college before he even started. Small schools definitely have advantages.

I graduated with just under 1,100 people.

We have maybe 550 students total, but it's because we're a charter school so...
