+747 After your body has moved from simple hunger to "FEED ME NOW OMG I'M DYING," a weird thing happens when you finally do eat. It seems after you take just one bite, your stomach calms down, as though your brain's like, "Oh, okay, everything's cool. We got food coming in now. Emergency averted." amirite?

But if your brain know you are only getting one bite of food, it makes you 100X hungrier

Nah, I don't think your brain works that way.

Except when you ignore the "OMG I'M DYING" hunger state, and cease to be hungry. Then you can eat and feel like food is utterly disgusting. Food has a weird relation to our brains...

I've never been able to ignore that intense hunger.

I mostly do when I'm throwing-up sick. Then I don't eat anything for several days because I stop feeling hungry entirely. It's weird.

That's happened to me a few times :D
