love is supposed to be forever. if you dont love someone forever, i say you didnt love them, you just liked them. im tired of all these millions of people getting divorces after like a year of being married. you shouldn't have married someone if you didnt want to be with them

I'm annoyed at the divorce rate as well; there are some who just don't take marriage vows seriously, and so many other couples really do love each other but are unwilling to get past a problem and see divorce as the easy way out. @12539 (OP): Not all feelings change over time. I doubt that I could stop loving my parents; even when I'm extremely angry at them I don't hate them (even if I might feel like I do at the time XD)

If you love someone now, you'll never stop loving them. You can get over them, you can not think about them for years on end, but that doesn't mean you don't love them.
