If you come to Egypt some day you will find out that our tap water is actually water from the river Nile.. it tastes just like the water you drink, only better :)

seeing as the Nile river is heavily polluted in some areas especially around cities I would imagine the water from the Nile would taste somewhat like the water in LA. in which case I would avoid it.

It really depends on where you get it from. City tap water usually tastes disgusting because of the chemicals they use to clean it. My house get's it's water from a well in my backyard, and it tastes pretty darn good.
