There are white people that shorten words, too. You seem to know the ghetto stereotype but have forgotten about the redneck one. Even people outside of those stereotypes shorten words. I'm sure you've said "gonna" instead of "going to" before.

I go to a school where white people are in the minority. Most black people don't care, and the ones who do prefer to be called black because not every black person is from Africa or American. I don't go around calling myself European American, I'm white.
