+438 Every time a doctor tells a patient or their family that they've been diagnosed with something, immediately when you hear the word "diagnosed," you think of the worst possible outcome for that scenario. Like, "Mr. and Mrs. Johnson, your son has been diagnosed wi-" OH MY GOD! NOOO!!!! amirite?

But to diagnose is to name the affliction. There are so many harmless conditions. Every time you go to the doctor and hes says that rash is poison ivy, you have been diagnosed. Though I guess I can understand the connotations.
