+468 Schools should let students evaluate their teachers, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Mine does. Not specific teachers, but teachers in general. If we really have a problem with a teacher, we just talk to the principal or something.

My school does, too. At the end of the year there's an online evaluation type thing. It's optional and completely anonymous. :)

We did that at my middle school, high school, and university.

Urgh mine did at the end of every term for every teacher we had for every class... I appreciate they were trying to get feed back, but they were really long questionairs that took ages and everyone dreaded it.

My college has a professor evaluation at the end of every semester.

One time I did something like that for a camp counselor, and the head person of the camp had to have a talk with me because it was so evil.

My college has one that actually goes to the department, it's one of the factors they use in deciding who to give tenure and stuff. But yeah, in high school, I would have had some things to say...one of my English teachers was a nutcase, who was known to start crying in class, then throw markers at us in a sudden fit of rage.

I wish my school had that!! We have some pretty bad teachers.
