+462 Since it could rain in one state, and not be raining in the next, you think it would be pretty cool to be in the middle of that "line." It would be so awesome to see one half of your street raining and the other half not, amirite?

Ive seen this. Its amazing. Raining and then literally 25 ft away its dry.

Jealousy....

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Definitely worth seeing

That's like saying it would be awesome to stand between the line of light and day, just because you can see the line from outer space... the change is gradual not a freaking sharp cut. You've probably experienced it and not noticed it... it's a pretty normal occurrence, because clouds don't go on forever, they end somewhere.

Mostly yes, but every now and then there is a sheet of rain that just ends suddenly. It's not impossible

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah, I know I'm saying that it's not going to be a storm on one side then sunshine on the other.... Like on one side of my house it would be raining and the other side it would be dry, but there are still clouds on the other side, it's just not raining

OOOOOOH, I get you now :)

That happened to me a couple of times when I was a kid. It would be raining at my house, and then 50 yards down the road, it was completely dry. It was cool to watch. :D

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I've seen it. It was raining on half the street and dry on the other.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

This has happened to me a few times. Once I was in the car with my mom and it was POURING, and then suddenly it was dry.

For anyone that cares: I was walking home one day and I thought I heard rain, but didn't see it. Then I looked behind me and ran. It caught up to me =

by Anonymous 13 years ago

One time I ran away from rain.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

One time, it was raining at our next door neighbor's house (and everywhere past it) but I wasn't raining at ours! The "line" was in the little strip of grass between out houses!

I was with a few friends once and it started raining about half a meter away from where we were standing. It was amazing.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Its not really that uncommon, its happened many times to me both growing up and currently, such as when i was a young child at my school it was raining on one side of the classroom then you look out the other side and it was clear and dry

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It used to always happeat my year 6 classroom too!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Definitely not uncommon. Before I moved, I lived in a pretty big neighborhood and it was always raining on one side of the street, but not the other.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

my friend and I were sitting in her neighbors driveway talking to them and it started raining so we walked over to her driveway to go home and it wasn't raining there it was pretty awesome

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I've seen it when I was in Florida. It was like a car wash

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's happened to me. A sharp line down the street. It was so awesome.

I was sitting on my couch once and I looked out the window to my backyard and it was raining, so I looked out the front deck and it was completely dry.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Once it was pouring REALLY hard and it was awesome- just like a wall of rain.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It rained in my front yard, but not in the back once.
