Okay, so we have a tornado drill, fire drill and code red drill. What about a flood drill? We'd all have to go with it, sit on our desks and paddle with our least favorite text book down the hallway.. Amirite?

This post reminded me of that assembly we had about what to do if a guy with a gun starts shooting at people. After the talk about locking ourselves in the classrooms the principal held up a bucket and roll of toilet paper and announced that they were now required in every room, just in case.

I hated tornado drills when I was a kid in elementary, but apparently our highschool only feels we should be prepared for fire drills and that's all we have now.

At my school, we have to do the tornado drill where you put your hands on your neck and kneel down. It's pointless though, because when there was an actual tornado warning, we all just sat in the library.
