Whenever you're reading a book, and it is set in a different country, you read it their accent, amirite?

It doesn't need to be set in a different country. I read the Adventures of Huck Finn and everyone had a southern accent.

I read the dialogue in their accent, but the rest I read in my own accent.

Maybe for the first few pages, until I forget about the accent and just read it plain.

Not usually but we had to read Of Mice Of Men for school and my teacher recommended reading it in a southern American accent so that it would make more sense. But other than that I read it in my own accent and when the movie comes out I'm like "What?! This sounds all wrong!"

I can't believe this is negative. It sounds unnatural if they say certain things without accents. When I read Harry Potter I ended up thinking in a British accent for a while.
