+81 It bugs you when people call a specific product by the name of the brand that names it. Eg: calling a jacket a NorthFace or a Columbia, amirite?

No not really. I call my clothing by their brand names, such as my members-only, etc. I'm proud of my clothes. xD

What do you call your Band-Aids? Adhesive bandages?

I hate when people do that. But I do call them Band-Aids. I dunno what to vote now.

Blackberry and iPhone get to me the most, i don't say. "Oh hold on, someone is calling me on my Samsung"

What about iPod?

I always call my Doc Martens "Doc Martens", not just "boots". And I usually say "Ray-Bans" instead of "sunglasses".

I forget what the technical term is but it's when a product comes out and the dominating brand is what everyone refers to the product as. I've never heard anyone personally refer to their jacket as a "Northface" but it sounds stupid. I don't think Northface will ever take over the terms coat or jacket like Coke took over the word for anything that tastes like Pepsi, RC, or Coke cola.

Yeah, you're right about the big brands - like, you don't hear people say "Do you want a cola?" you hear them say "Do you want a Coke/Pepsi?"
