The Sorting Hat should have put Hermione in Ravenclaw. Amirite?
by Anonymous14 years ago
Finally, somebody else who has thought of this! My Harry Potter loving friends almost killed me for saying this!

Technically, yes. She definitely should've been in Ravenclaw. lol. Ravenclaw = smart people, Slytherin = shady people, Gryffindor = awesome people, Hufflepuff = Other (xD)
So I guess Hermione fit into the 'awesome' category as well as the 'smart' category xD lol.

Well, Gryffindor is for the brave and courageous, in which Hermione is, but she is also exceedingly smart. I personally think Ron would have been put in Hufflepuff, because he's somewhat of a wimp sometimes.
P.S. Not hating! I love the series more than anything! I just think that the sorting hat was a little off that day, that's all. =]

Didn't someone in the books mention this? I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure someone said this and Hermione responded something like, "Yes, the sorting had considered putting me in Ravenclaw, but in the end he decided Gryffindor."

Hmm, could be...

Yup, that's definitely in there. I think it's in the fourth book...

i think neville should've been in hufflepuff. he just seems like a hufflepuff sort of guy to me. and cedric should've been in gryffindor. :/

Definitely.

But at the end of the series Neville becomes really brave, even if he was a wimp at the start.

Maybe it was like Harry and she picked Gryffindor over Ravenclaw.
