I guess you could say that cheerfully is a stronger word, being FULL of cheer and all, but I think for all intents and purposes they mean the same thing.

Also, cheerily might mean "with cheer" rather than what you said for cheerful...maybe that's it?

Cheerily means done in good spirits and cheerfully means done with cheer and happiness
