Everyone cares about Queensland's floods, but no one gave a shit about Rio de Janeiro state's floods. Just shows how the news can manipulate our thoughts and everything.

Well I live in Australia,and so does the OP, so naturally it's gets covered more. Also not only were they flooded they had two cyclones hit in a week, so I think that's mainly what the post was about as they are having several natural disasters happen in such a short amount of time. But yeah, the floods in Rio de Janeiro are really sad as well, and I've read that because it hit in a poverty stricken area the death toll and damage could have been reduced greatly if more attention and planing was put into the area... which is terrible.
