+500 In books, tv shows, and movies, there are almost never characters with the same first name. However, in your class in school there can be two or three people with the same first name, amirite?

Though, if I'm writing something, I always get the irrational fear that should I name two characters by names that start with the same first letter (exp., "Karin" and "Kelly"), anyone who reads it will magically get confused. ...could just be me, though... XD

I wrote a story with two Allies, once. Though one's first name was Allison, and the other's was Alexa (also, one was spelled Ally, not Allie). Other than that, I haven't given any two characters the same name.

I was once in a class that had 4 Tylers (though one was technically spelled Tylor).

In every single class last year, there was at least one other person named Maggie. Two classes, there were all three of us. None of our actual first names are Maggie.

I was trying to read crime and punishment and none of the characters were named the same but many were very similar and I was so confused.. I can only imagine if they had been the same
