I have very high standards but I have no regrets because I learned from everything that I've done. Making mistakes helps you build standards for a lot of things. For example: let's say you stayed out past curfew, as every teenager does at least once in their teen years, and your parent had an accident at home and needed to go to the hospital but you weren't there to know. Lesson learned: don't skip curfew. But that's just an example.

If people are doing things that are morally wrong , and they keep doing them because they live life with " no regrets ", then they have low or no standards !

I got stuck in a slump for a while and did things that definitely sank below my self-standards. Now, however, I dont regret them at all. And when people see my scars (Ifrom cutting) sometimes some of them ask me for help on thieir own problems. No regret there.

I have no regrets because it seems counter-productive to dwell on the past. You can't change what happened, so why stress out about it?
