Entropy and luck

yum

Well, scientists theorize that it started with a big explosion called the Big Bang.

dont you dare

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Fine. I choose "truth".

by Anonymous 13 years ago

the point of the question is people can't help but wonder where everything (i.e. the big bang) came from. the big bang describes the shift from space expanding from a point in time, not where the heck the stuff came from

According to my sources, Einstein's equation E=mc^2 states that matter can be converted to energy and vice versa. If there was energy before matter, some of the energy could have been built up to the point where the an explosion of energy occurred, creating matter. That eventually formed the rest of the universe. All in all, the matter was created from charged photons that caused the Big Bang, creating matter. Of course, it's only a theory, so DON'T JUDGE ME FOR EXPLAINING A THEORY!!

I think the question is more like where did those protons and And energy come from in order to form the big bang

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You are right about e=mc^2 but I don't think the Big Bang theory says energy built up and then converted into matter at all... It simply says that for a single point in time all the energy (and/or matter) was in a single point and then rapidly expanded from there. Nothing happened before the big bang nor does anyone have a cause for it... and of course like amika said, it's still a question of where matter and energy came from.

I can't remember everything they said from the documentary. You'll have to excuse me... -_-

Even if you do believe in God, you sometimes wonder how everything got here in the first place. I believe in God, but I often wonder where He came from. It's mind boggling when you think about it.

I always wonder this, I'm like thinking "There has to be some moment he just 'started', I mean, I'd get pretty bored sitting here literally forever and starting a gigantic universe with an extremely small portion of it being inhabited by creatures who fight in wars and do weird things and stuff... like if I was god I'd be pretty embarrassed to find out that after millions and millions of years some of the best things is a 'snuggie'.

Personally, i don't believe in nothing. It's just a bad concept to me.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Don't believe in nothing = Double negative. So based on what you just said, you believe in everything.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I don't believe in the concept of nothing. not "I believe in everything."

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Oh, I see. Sorry haha

Just because we don't completely understand how something happened scientifically doesn't mean that there is any supernatural aspect to it. There was a time when we thought almost everything that happened was magic or supernatural until more and more things were explained scientifically.

its so frustrating when people say god must exist simply because we don't know the source of the big bang.
