+205 Just because I use a Kindle doesn't mean I'm not a 'true' bookworm. A good book will still be a good book no matter what it's printed on. Plus, it saves trees! So what's so bad about it? amirite?

For some reason books make you look smarter. I suppose it's because on a Kindle you can get fashion magazines, so the person sat with a kindle could be reading Katie price winging about Peter, but the person sat next to them reading Pride and Prejudice you KNOW what it is from the cover and assume they must be intelligent for reading it. Personally I prefer books, I like the motion of turning pages and the feel of the paper. I would guess that the love of the actual reading of the book, not just the plot, is what defines someone as a bookworm.

you say this as if you feel a great desire to be considered a "true bookworm" is this a new trend coming in? bookworms are the new cool kids?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well hell yeah.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm not. I've been an avid reader since 3rd grade. I know I'm a bookworm, it's just really annoying when people say that.

There's nothing baaaaaaaaaaaaad about it. You just can't get lost in a story on an electronic device.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That depends on the person. If it's a good story, I'll get lost in it. Simple as that.

But... But HOW?

I guess I'm a rariety... Like a unicorn.

Okay. You use the unicorn, you win. I admit this openly and without shame or regret. Well, possibly regret.

Kindle: kindling is what you use to start fire: fire is what you feel in hell. Therefore, kindle is from the devil and you will burn in hell for reading on one! Jk I use kindle but I only get the free books. I refuse to pay for an ebook and the ones I have gotten for free I will eventually buy because I love the smell and feel of books.
