No, going out to eat is not okay because it's much harder to leave if you decide you're not into this person. Also, it can get a little pricy if it's not McDonald's or some other shitty place. Always stick with coffee.

If you're comfortable enough around someone, you shouldn't mind eating around them. I pretty much eat like a freakin pig when I'm with anyone though, so maybe it's just me
