...No. Stereotypes come from truth. What you were saying up there, a lot of Americans are fat. And trust me, there are some really stupid people too, I don't like COD, I know guys that do, there are a lot of stupid stoners, teenage guys actually do think about sex quite a lot, etc. The downfall in your post is you saying "every". No, not everyone follows stereotypes, but they come from truth. As a nerd, I don't have big glasses, but I do obsess over my grades, most of the people at my nerd school don't really care about fashion, and there are a LOT of people on our robotics team.

Yes SOME people follow stereotypes. When people think about stereotypes they think all. Say a guy is talking to an American and the guy is not from america. He is most likely going to assume the person he is talking to is fat and/or stupid. Yes, there are fat people in America. Yes, there are stupid people in America but there is also fat and stupid people EVERYWHERE else. Most the people at my school(in America) are not fat. They're actually very well figured. I myself am not very fat. Yes, some Britain have bad teeth but there are people everywhere who have bad teeth also.

*Are also, not is also. The US has the highest obesity rate. Therefore, people assume that we're fat... and a lot of adults are. Teens have faster metabolisms so we tend to be more fit. They are also required to take gym or some sort of active class. Stereotypes obviously do not apply to all people. But, you can't say that they're "just some ignorant people saying some stupid things and then it catching on." That's completely untrue. They are based off of facts. You don't hear me going around saying, "All Estonians are unnaturally skinny!" and it becoming a stereotype, because that's not the truth about most of them.

yeah, some people are fat in America but that doesn't make it fair someone to just assume you're fat because you're in America. That's the same as me saying oh, you're muslim that means you must be trying to bomb America. Everyone would jump down my throat for that but if someone says oh you're Britain you have bad teeth or you're american you're fat no body cares.

I've never heard someone say that. They'll say that if you're from America, you must be fat, but being from America because you're fat is different. That's because there were only a few Muslims who have tried terrorist attacks. About 30% of America is OBESE. Not just overweight, but obese.

Yes, you can. 34% are overweight, and another 30% are obese. Obese is even worse than overweight, so 64% (it's actually more like 68%, depending on where you find your statistics) of the American population is overweight or worse.

Well if they weren't true, that would be even worse. Cause think about it, if someone misjudged you and not knowing who you really are just going along with what ever the stereotype is though it is not true, they aren't taking the time to get to know YOU, that would be even worse if it were true in my opinion.
