When someone is talking about Washington, they're talking about Washington state, NOT Washington D.C. If they were talking about Washington D.C. they would've added the "D.C." in the first place, amirite?

Idk about the rest of you but I live relativley close to Washington D.C. and when someone says Washington they mean D.C. more often than not or, they just call it D.C. to avoid all confusion.

my dads military and i spent a good amount of time in washington. now when people ask where ive lived i have to constantly clarify. which is alot. and i dont like it. you are right.
