+468 I hate when people tell me to "get over it". I mean, if it was up to me, I'd be over it by now. No one wants to be upset about something they don't have to be, amirite?

No, sometimes people refuse to get over it and drag it on as long as possible for the sake of pity and attention. It gets annoying. Generally, if someone tells you to "get over it" it means you've worn out any pity people had for you and they're sick of hearing about it or watching you mope.
