+143 A good lover knows how to ease out of a relationship that he no longer wants to be in, so as to not hurt the other person, amirite?

and how the hell do you do that?

That's what I was thinking. The only why I can think of is slowly grow apart from them until they get the hint. Unless the couple start to find the relationship to be stale at the same time, it's going to hurt at least a little.

Just slowly become emotionless toward her. She'll sense that something is going wrong, but probably won't be ale to see what. After a month, do something like forget to pick her up, don't lend her your jacket, etc etc. She'll probably break up with you, or you can break up with her without hurting her so much.

I'm just going to go ahead and tell you that's really not a good way to do a break up. A guy did that to me once and it was wayyyyy more heartbreaking than it would have been than he had just told me that he wasn't feeling it anymore.

That's because he basically said he had gotten over you while you wre still dating. I meant let you break up with him, or jsut don't say that.

Those are all terrible ways to break up with someone! That's basically just leading them on while they're really into the relationship. I would much, MUCH rather a guy tell me he's not feeling it anymore than have him be insensitive and make ME break up with him.
