+402 It's ridiculous how celebrities aren't allowed to do anything without papparazzi trying to harass them. I mean, they're normal people just trying to live their lives and we should give them their privacy. Amirite?

Celebrities use paparazzi for publicity just as much as paparazzi uses them. When Tom Cruise or someone has a new movie out, they go outside with their kids and have lunch and all specifically to be photographed, to generate interest in himself and the new movie.

people choose to be celebrities......they dont just randomly become famous

Rebecca Black...

Doesn't mean they don't deserve privacy just like any other person.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That's one of the effects of being famous: having less privacy.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

They choose to be in movies or to sing songs. They don't choose to be harassed.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Being in movies/singing songs will make the paparazzi follow you. It's an affect.

That's pretty stupid logic. That's like saying doctors choose to have patients that die, just because they chose to be doctors. They chose to help people and not let them die, the fact that a person dies, isn't part of their job requirement....

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No it isn't. Doctors help People get better. As an effect, some people have to die. What I'm saying is that many choices have effects that are unable to avoid.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

when people become famous, they know theyre not gunna get privacy and they commit to it just like doctors know some of their patients r gunna die, they cant save every1

by Anonymous 13 years ago

People dying isn't an effect of some people getting better. What I'm saying is that just because people die and doctors choose to become doctors, that doesn't mean they want people to die....

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Exactly. You don't want people to die, but it will happen. You don't want the paparazzi following you, but it will happen.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah they know it will happen, but that doesn't mean they choose it

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I agree with you, but you know that's not gonna happen. Paparazzi make money from harassing celebrities, they're not gonna consider the celebrities feelings as long as they're making money

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You can't have it both ways. If you're a celebrity, you're going to be harassed. You get fame and fortune at the cost of no privacy. They realize this.

I think we should shift the importance of celebrities in our daily lives as a society, then they wouldn't have either. I hate the fact that I'm going to be spending 4 years in college getting an education, working my ass off only to make less than Justin Bieber? It's pretty stupid, celebrities literally do not contribute to society (at least not anything important) and even if they do, what they reap from us makes up for it. I mean most people (in America at least) know more about celebrities than they do about their own family. When I first read this post I thought it was going to be about something actually important (like how they get treated like Gods and Goddesses and are above the law) instead of something stupid that's sympathizing for them.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

But they aren't normal people. I'm sure you've seen examples of them getting special treatment regarding laws, i.e. "1 million needed to get Chris Brown out of jail!" They can deal with the paparazzi if it means always receiving preferential treatment.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Anyone who commits a crime and ends up in jail can pay bail to get out (if they are granted bail, that is). It's just a matter of being able to afford it. However, I do agree with you about celebrities getting special treatment.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Of course, I know that. I'm more referring to people like that and athletes, such as Donte Stallworth, who recieved 24 DAYS in jail for manslaughter. That isn't simply posting bail money.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That's why I said I agreed with you. I was simply referring to that specific example.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

They aren't normal people. They make lotsomoney. Fame for privacy. Ya dig?
