+186 If you are under 90 pounds and over 5'4, you are disgusting. If you put on too much makeup, you are ugly. If you are shy, you don't give away easily. If you are super tan, your skin is unhealthy. This is how "society" should be, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It really doesn't matter what society should be or how it isn't. Just be what makes YOU happy.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Oh I know. But som e people try to starve themselves to fit it, of cake there face in too much makeup and it makes me sad!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

What makes me sad is that you would actually say something like that. Alot of people are just underweight, wear makeup, and have tan skin naturally. It doesn't mean that their disgusting, ugly, or unhealthy.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

There is nothing wrong with wearing make up, being tan or thin naturally. Some people try to change for others, not for themselves. Be who YOU want to be.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Being tan or very thin is ok BUT stuffing your face in make up doesnt look good at all i think girls look better without makeup........

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yes, it is ok, if it's natural and healthy. I don't like it when people where make up either... but I don't mind unless they don't change their whole appereance with some powder.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

basicley the opposite of the way things are now. but yes, do what makes YOU happy is the only thing that counts

by Anonymous 13 years ago

ewww 90 lbs and over 5 4? holy shit. im 100 and 5 2 and i get called annorexic sometimes. (even though i eat like a pig)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm 125 and 5' 1". I don't really look it though - I look around 110.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm 95 and 5'3 1/2". Most of the girls in my school are, and we all eat like pigsss.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm 96 lbs and 5'9". I'm trying to gain weight and this post makes me feel bad about myself =(

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Hun, you shouldn't have to live up to anyone else's standards, you should just be happy with the way you are

by Anonymous 13 years ago

True, but if someone said something about you was disgusting, wouldn't that offend/hurt you? If even for a moment?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

id be like BITCH youre just jealous cuz youre fat

by Anonymous 13 years ago

try mcdonalds ...or taco bell

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Or McDonalds....

by Anonymous 13 years ago

her name is called "fred_the_taco" so taco bell would make more sense :]

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm really sorry I hurt your feelings. What I'm saying is that you shouldn't try to make yourself underweight. Be who you are, and live your life happily. And again, I'm sorry. Keep gaining weight, and feel beautiful! :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No, I don't think society should judge anyone, what happens if you're naturally tanned or naturally thin?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

If you are naturally tan or thin, that's not a problem. But if you try to fit the standards of what so -called society thinks then that is a problem.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

then people think youre pretty. it sholdnt be like that

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I don't even know what to say about this post..

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Not too long ago I was 5'5" and 90 pounds (97 lbs now) but I have no kind of eating disorder at all. I'm healthy. I didn't look sick or anything, just skinny. So don't be saying stuff like that, u dont even know...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

AGAIN, if you are naturally like that, no big deal. But people feel like thats a goal weight so they put so much pressure on themselves to reach that, even if it meens risking their life.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I think I'm around 65-70kg (no idea how much that is in pounds) and 5'9 (And still growing YEEEEEAH) so what does that make me....good?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Great, so let's not only make people who are the usual victims of bullying dislike themselves, but also people who try and like themselves by "fixing" themselves. This is genius. -sarcasm-

by Anonymous 13 years ago

ono

by Anonymous 13 years ago

the word you're looking for is 'media' not 'society' because at least where i'm from, none of those things is either attractive or good. on another note, there is nothing wrong with striving to be a healthy weight (yes 90lbs is unhealthy) or wanting to have a mild tan.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

90 pounds isn't //that// unhealthy.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

depends on your height.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

That would be just as bad as it is now, except in reverse. People would strive to be fat and pale, which is probably just as unhealthy as thin and tanned. And it's not very nice to call anyone "disgusting" because of their weight, especially if they're underweight as opposed to overweight. (In my opinion)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You are right, I shouldn't have said disgusting. But it makes people not try to set goals to be super skinny and unhealthy. So I should have said unhealthy. If you are naturally skinny, it's OK.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Dude Its not our fault of we are tall or naturally skinny or tan. Its call genetics

by Anonymous 13 years ago

If it's natural it no big deal. But some people just try and try and try to fit what they think other people think are beautiful. Sorry if I offended you or anyone.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I see where your trying to go with this, but that doesn't mean you should ridicule the people victimized by media in the first place

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I saw this post and was about to rant about me being naturally thin and offended how this makes me disgusting and all... but I saw that 10 or so people said the same thing so I'll just watch. -eats popcorn-

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Don't fret, you aren't disgusting. Naturally thin is ok. Trying to fit what other people think might be pretty is. And I respect you for not ranting on and onnn.. because I have replied to way to many people saying the same thing. :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I was going to post something like this but I would have phrased it differently, "If you eat, they say you're fat. If you don't eat, they say you're anorexic. If you wear make-up, they say you're obsessed with your appearance. If you don't wear make-up, they say you're ugly. If you talk, they say you're annoying. If you don't talk, they say you're socially awkward and weird. You see, we can never please anyone, so just be yourself, amirite?"

by Anonymous 13 years ago

can I have a link to that post? and i saw something familiar to it. something like "If i get good grades, im a nerd. If i get poor grades, i'm a dumass." etc...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Unfortunately, I was going to make the post, but I never did. Maybe I will, though.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

society shouldn't have an opinion. We are not the same, therefore, our expectations aren't the same. Don't ever tell people they are gross or unhealthy for being a certain way. You are just as bad as the media and 'society' who tells you that you are gross for having pale skin, or being thin. hypocrite much?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

So I'm disgusting... ok... Its not like I'm happy I'm underweight...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

If you are happy with yourself, you aren't. Don't try to change the please.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

posts that say "im short and 90lbs but i can eat all i want". okay we get it. your small and skinny and have an amazing metabolism. thats not the point. everyone should realize that no one is really content about themselves and they should do what they want to make them feel good, as long as it isnt detrimental to their health. sure, some people may not like the heavy makeup look, but if thats what it takes for someone to feel beautiful and comfortable in their skin, let them.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

What I'm saying is, people shouldn't need make up to feel that way. They are beautiful, just the way they are. People sometimes think they need to change for others.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I really wish I could post a follow up... commenting the same exact thing over and over is really killing me.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm 5'2 and 96 pounds... I'm not disgusting.. YUS!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'll just go stand in the corner and be disgusting then.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You are not disgusting. The whole point of this post is to show people to be themselves, not try to change themselves. CHILL.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I was kidding. CHILL.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Stop judging, that you may not be judged. It sounds hypocritical when you call out and criticize society's norms and what it perceives as beautiful while at the same time, you dish out your own version of how society should be. The world changes all the time; if you don't change with it, then you lose.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No one should be 'disgusting' or 'ugly' in society

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I know, I shouldn't have used disgusting. But some people believe that society is the opposite of this post. Be yourself.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Anorexia shouldn't make the PERSON disgusting, who ever drove them to it is disgusting, but not the person themselves. Some pretty people put onto much makeup because they are self-conscious that doesn't make them ugly.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(:/): They aren't disgusting, just the unhealthiness of the weight. The whole point is to be yourself. READ THE COMMENTS BEFORE YOU COMMENT SOMETHING. I've said the same thing over 8 times!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Chill your tits man,..you don't have to reply to everything.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

if someone is naturally tanned or thin, how would YOU ever find out? theres alot more to people on the inside than the outside you know...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

No, actually. This idea of society you have in your mind is just as judgmental as it currently is.

by Anonymous 12 years ago
