Every girl gets that motherly instinct around the age of 14, amirite?

Some never develop it.

Yes! When I was 14 I'd carry my dogs on my hip, and bounce them where I stood just like you do with a baby. And I would look at my stomach in the mirror and wonder what it would look like pregnant. I was kind of lonely, and I wanted a baby because it would be nice to have someone dependant on me, to feel good about myself for keeping them safe. I wanted someone to love me when no one else did. Thankfully I was still rational about it, and I knew I was far too young,so I stayed safe.

I'm 16 and have no motherly instinct. I hate children and don't plan to have any...I'm also a total commitment-phobe, so I think that's one of the reasons why. :P

Lately, I've been craving a baby. Which weirds me out, but I can't help thinking of having a product of myself and someone I love in my arms.

I started babysitting around that time. I don't want any of my own when i get older because I want to travel, but I'm going to spoil the heck out of everyone elses kids

Well at 14 they either get the "motherly" instincts or they get the "bitch" instincts.

I would say no to that. Most females develop a motherly instinct eventually (or way earlier than 14) and some never develop one at all. Saying that they all develop the instinct at 14 is extremly ignorant. I've had a mothering instinct for as long as I can remember, but I dont like babies. Or even toddlers. Everything is different for everyone.

Ah i'm just gonna straight up call this b.s.. I'm nearly 19 and I hate all things children. Sorry, I'm not meant to be someone elses slave for the rest of my life..oops that gonna offend someone, wait, why should i care with all the crap I get for "Oh you'll change your mind"?

I am 14 and I think I am realy developing a motherly instinct. All I can think about is my eggs in me, and I love looking at babys, and whenever Im alone and sad I just rub my tummy thinking a part of my future baby is in there and we are always together, and I already know what their names are gonna be and I carry my little dog around with me too,haha : )
