+471 You would rather let a guilty man be accquitted than to execute an innocent man, amirite?

You're rather pretentious. This post is VERY improperly worded.

you talk big. me dumb. talk smaller.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

I don't, for a second, doubt the fact that you actually talk like that.

I wouldn't say VERY improperly worded... take out the 'to' and it sounds fine to me.

On the contrary, it sounds fine with the "to" in there. I was talking about the whoooooole thing. It makes the OP sound ridiculously pretentious.

On the contrary, leaving the 'to' there makes the verb 'execute' an infinitive, which leaves the object 'innocent man' without a finite verb. And I suppose the pretentious part is subjective, but I disagree.

Someone's got a stick up their ass.

I fail to see how this post is pretentious.

It depends on the crime. If they were a serial murderer or rapist, I'd take the chance and execute them, but if they were accused of robbing a bank or something and had no criminal record, I'd be more inclined to set them free.
