In my English class last year I noticed I was getting A's on things I had totally bullshitted. So then I started pushing it, writing things like "do you really read these things?" in the middle of paragraphs on the symbolism of Poe's raven. They still came back A's, so I pushed it farther and began writing papers on how the writer was probably butt ugly because of his use of the word "springtime," or randomly writing "guinea pigs with wings" several times in the paper. STILL A's. So I stopped turning in homework entirely, just to see what would happen. What happened was a whole lot of nothing; the teacher never said anything to me all year or sent home the required letter to parents. At the end of the year I had a failing grade, but she didn't inform my assigned counselor or put my name down for summer school. It was actually a little creepy.
