I'm afraid of heights because of the probability of the fall. If people were afraid of the fall it would insinuate that every time you go somewhere high that you're going to fall.

No one is afraid of giraffes, they're just afraid of being strangled to death by their ten foot long necks, or their two foot long blue tongues... *shudder*

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Have you ever read Un Lun Dun?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No... What is it?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's a book by China Mieville that has carnivorous giraffes. It refers to the giraffes in zoos as "hippy refuges", I believe.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(...): Carnivorous giraffes are pretty scary...(:

... No I'm afraid of the dark. I'm claustrophobic and I'm afraid of being stuck in the dark unable to see anything forever. I know there's nothing in the dark, that's what scares me the emptiness.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(.): wouldn't that be more like agoraphobia?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Actually I'm scared of heights. Not the falling, just high places.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

And why are you afraid of high places? For what reason?

by Anonymous 11 years ago
